Conflict-of-interest questions were raised about Sabita Bhandari, the interim government’s Attorney General and the PM’s legal advisor. According to the Kathmandu Post, a decision was made not to prosecute Hope Fertility, a company facing serious allegations, in which Bhandari was a shareholder.

Response from those concerned

The AG’s office said the decision not to prosecute was made by the Deputy Attorney General on 17 October, without Bhandari’s involvement.
